Background
In 2018, Kindle launched a collaborative packaging initiative with the Palace Museum, seeking to blend modern technology with traditional aesthetics. As part of the campaign, I proposed the creation of "The Furry Philosopher in The Palace" interactive site. This project aimed to offer audiences a unique glimpse into the aesthetics and rich history of the Forbidden City from an unconventional perspective—the narrative of a cat.
Approach
I spearheaded the creation and design of a captivating visual story that transported users into the enchanting world of the Forbidden City through the eyes of a feline protagonist. Combining my writing and design skills, I crafted an engaging narrative that not only introduced the historical and aesthetic elements of the Forbidden City but also infused it with the whimsical charm of a cat's perspective.
The interactive site served as a platform for users to explore various aspects of the Forbidden City, interact with immersive visuals, and uncover hidden treasures through the eyes of the furry philosopher. Leveraging innovative storytelling techniques and interactive elements, the site offered a dynamic and memorable experience for visitors.
Impact
"The Furry Philosopher in The Palace" interactive site, along with its extended social media content, quickly gained viral traction, amassing over 400,000 views.
